Overview
Along the shores of Black Sands Beach in Mauna Lani is found this 10,000 square foot paradise. The estate's main living spaces, detached cabana style bedrooms and garage all feature Quantum custom wood windows and doors. Here we see corner sliding and pocketing windows with custom operable louvers, and roto windows with wood framed insect screens. Custom fixed and vented louvers with screens serve to open the buildings up for ventilation and provide shed when necessary from the island sun. Euro Series in-swing casement windows framed with dark bronze aluminum screens compliment the tropical architectural.
Generous openings are permitted throughout the project with Quantum Slide & Fold Doors, Lift & Slide Doors, Pocket Doors and Hinged Doors. Cornering Lift & Slide doors provide spectacularly uninterrupted views of the ocean beyond. All doors are equipped with pocketing insect screens.
The architectural window and door profiles have interior rectangular sticking and exterior beveled glazing stops. All products in this project are made of African Mahogany or Teak and in some applications a split species – with African Mahogany on the interior and Teak on exterior.
