Overview

The Saratoga Creek House is a wonderful example of modern architecture utilizing a diverse palette of the highest level finish materials masterfully assembled and interconnected. The window and door systems match the scale of the structure, and the project is a good representation of some of the largest Signature Series mulled groups that Quantum has ever built.

WA Design wanted to keep the window frames at a minimum to allow for a significant plaster return to the window at the interior. Due to this requirement Quantum embedded and concealed steel into many of the mullions to provide the rigidity necessary given the size of some of the openings. Quantum utilized narrow corner mullions in many locations, with several windows following under flat sections of roof, turning corners and then following the radius of the roofline at very tight tolerances.

Large Lift & Slide Door Systems were utilized, some with unique individual panel divisions that mimic the glazing patterns of the window systems. Given the architectural design, assembly of finishes, interior design and landscaping, this project remains one of our very favorites.
