It is not easy building homes on top of mountains, but Reid Smith’s talented team does it consistently and exceptionally well. Like many of their projects, this modern mountain home is nestled into a western slope where its linear architecture and large glass capture the namesake of Big Sky, Montana.The open interior and creative use of wood and steel feel synergistic, organic and alive.
Quantum was asked to build the large aluminum Clad Lift & Slide Door System which opens this spectacular home to some of the most expansive geography in the West, with panoramic views of the Spanish Peaks and Yellowstone National Park.
